Varanasi
Varanasi or Benares is a holy place located on the shores of the famous Ganges river in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. The place has significance in Hindu mythology and would be of interest to those who wish to know more about Hinduism. Apart from being a pilgrim spot, Varanasi is also famous for its silk fabric called Benares silk, ivory work, and sculptures. The place is also a center of art, music, and literature.
