Cape Coast Castle

Cape Coast Castle is one in a series of trading fortifications in Ghana that were used for the trade of slaves, gold dust, and goods from West Africa. The first fortification was built in the 17th century and was later extended. It is on the UNESCO list, and after the renovation, it became a tourist attraction. Visitors come to pay their respects to human suffering in the dark period of civilization.
