Turkmenistan TV Tower
From almost every part of Ashgabat, you can see the fantastic building Turkmenistan TV Tower, which is located on a hill southwest of the city center. The tower itself is 211 meters high and is the tallest building in the country. At the base of the tower is a large eight-pointed star, a symbol of Turkmenistan, made of glass with a white marble frame. This star is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest star-shaped structure in the world. Turkmenistan TV Tower has a rotating restaurant, observatories, and two viewing platforms so visitors can enjoy a beautiful panorama of Ashgabat and its surroundings from both platforms.
