Yangykala Canyon
Yangykala Canyon is a natural phenomenon located in the extreme northwest of Turkmenistan. Here are the signs of the former ocean floor, which, through aeolian erosion, acquired shapes and colors that are difficult to compare with anything else in the world. The ocean that was in this area dried up millions of years ago, so the wind had enough time to carve strange and magnificent shapes in the rocks and soil. A visit to this gem of nature requires serious knowledge of the situation on the ground and good preparation in the form of water supplies, fuel, type of vehicle, and shelter for an overnight stay.
