Elephant Nature Park
Elephant Nature Park is a great place for all of those who love helping the animals and at the same time want to have a unique and memorable experience. While some of the parks around Chiang Mai have been criticized for their treatment of the animals, Elephant Nature Park presents the complete opposite. Most of the elephants are rescues, having suffered as show or labor animals. The park makes sure that all the elephants are treated gently and respectfully. This eye-opening experience enables visitors to spend a day volunteering at the park, by feeding the elephants and bathing them in the river. All the money that is collected from the cost of volunteering (that includes transportation and lunch) is for maintaining the grounds and providing for the animals.
