Doi Inthanon

Doi Inthanon is the highest peak in Thailand, and the national park that surrounds it is incredible. Many natural wonders such as waterfalls, tall trees, and endless greenery are what makes this place unforgettable. There are several possibilities to choose from when it comes to exploring this place, from trekking and hiking the mountain, or taking a more leisurely route around the park. Most of the waterfalls within the park have a relatively good flow of water all year round, however, the best season for water flow is during the rainy season from May to November. A place that is highly recommended while spending time in the Doi Inthanon National Park, is the Giew Mae Pan Nature Trail. The hike requires a guide who is a local tribesman, and besides leading the trail he also contributes facts and short stories about the park and the local people. The stories really add a special touch to the trip. During the route, the hikers will be able to have a glimpse of the Royal Twin Pagodas, when the trail opens up to a clearing on a hillside.
