Yashilkul
Yashilkul is a freshwater lake located in southeastern Tajikistan. The lake lies 20 kilometers north of the Pamir Highway, about halfway from Khorog to Murghab. Although the name Yashilkul means "Green Lake", the color of this lake is light blue. Around the lake is a wetland that provides a home for many bird species. That is why this area is part of the Bulunkul and Yashilkul lakes and mountains Important Bird Area.
