Khorog
Khorog is a town located in the south of the country, along the border with Afghanistan. This city is the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The population of Khorog is about 30,000 inhabitants. The Pamir Highway passes through the city, the northern part of the Khorog is along the Pyandzh river and the southern part along the Gunt River. There is a beautiful park in the city, several cultural institutions, a university, 12 schools so that the city proudly looks back on its attitude towards culture and education. The citizens of Khoroga like to spend time in traditional teahouses, which are pandas to western cafes. There are also local cuisine restaurants and hotels that offer accommodation for travelers, traders, and artisans coming to the city.
