Fo Guang Shan Temple
Fo Guang Shan Temple is the largest Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. The architecture of the temples is very unique and it must be seen to truly understand the peace it brings to those who visit this magnificent place. The most prominent landmark of the region is a huge golden statue of Buddha Amitabha, which measures some 120 meters. The main square is surrounded by 480 standing Buddhas, and together with water and mountains, they form an incredible scenery. The main structure consists of four temples: the Daxiongbao, the Dabei, the Dazhi, and the Dashu shrines.
