S.I.V. Mosque
S.I.V. Mosque, full name Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha’at Islam Mosque Keizerstraat, is considered to be the largest Islamic place of worship in the Caribbean. The Islamic Community of Paramaribo was founded in 1929, and a square building with minarets stood on the site of today's mosque until the construction of the current building. Today’s mosque building was built in 1984 and continues to the Neveh Shalom Synagogue.
