Corn Islands

The Corn Islands are two picturesque islands in the Caribbean Sea, about 70 kilometers off the coast of mainland Nicaragua. Greater Corn Island has an area of ten square kilometers, and the population is engaged in lobster fishing and tourism. Little Corn Island is more popular with tourists because on its 2.9 square kilometers there are no cars, only jungle, fairytale beaches, and accommodation facilities. The Corn Islands receive a large amount of precipitation during the rainy season, so it is wise to check the weather conditions before visiting.
