World Peace Pagoda
World Peace Pagoda is located in Lumbini, in the same complex as the Pillar of Ashoka, which marks the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama - Buddha and the temple of Maya Devi. The World Peace Pagoda is located in the holiest place for Buddhists. A Japanese Buddhist set aside a million dollars to build this magnificent pagoda. During the construction, there has been an attack by an anti-Buddhist extremist from India, and one monk lost his life. He was buried next to the pagoda.
