Ilam
Ilam is a town located in the very east of the country, not far from the border with India. Ilam is known in Nepal, and more and more in the world, for the highest quality tea, like the city of Darjeeling in India, which is only 30 kilometers away. This whole region is planted with tea, so the tea fields look like a beautiful green carpet. In addition to tea, ginger, silk, milk, cardamom, potatoes are produced here because the climate and soil affect agriculture. Ilam is known in Nepal for its environmental awareness, and also for the accelerated development of tourism.
