Mt Everest
Mt Everest is a mountain with many names and attributes. For many of the most experienced mountaineers, it is the Holy Grail, the Mecca. For many who have overestimated their capabilities or underestimated the most magnificent mountain in the world, Mt Everest has become a cold grave. This mountain, 8848 meters high above the sea, is a magnet for thousands of mountaineers every year. A large industry accompanies these visitors, from preparations for the ascent to the top to permits, accommodation, supplies, and guidance. An entire people of Sherpas dedicated themselves to leading mountaineers to the top of the world, and became known to the whole world!
