The Shwedagon Pagoda, also known as Golden Pagoda and Great Dagon Pagoda is one of the most famous landmarks of Myanmar. Located in the country's capital Yangon, this pagoda was built on the 51-meters high Singuttara Hill and with the pagoda's height of 112 meters, it dominates the city skyline. Many believe the Shwedagon is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in the country, with relics of the four previous Buddhas.
