Stari Bar

Located just a few kilometers from the new city of Bar lies Stari Bar or Old Bar. Archaeologists are claiming that the town was settled in the Neolithic period. In the 16th century, Ottoman Turks captured the town, so today tourists can find remains of Ottoman architecture. After a devastating earthquake, the new Bar was settled 4 kilometers down, towards the sea.
