When visiting the south of Mexico, and the Caribbean coast, don't miss to visit the Archaeological Zone of Tulum. It is one of the best-preserved Mayan port cities, with typical architecture facing the Caribbean Sea and the east, so it is assumed that Tulum (Wall) was called Zama (Dawn City). The peak of the city's development was in the period between the 13th and 15th centuries. Even today, the most popular time to visit is at dawn, when it is the busiest here.
