Hypogeum

Hypogeum was accidentally discovered in 1902. This structure carved in coralline limestone is dating from 3600 BC and is believed to be a prehistorical necropolis. The site is under UNESCO protection. Pre-booking is mandatory, as well as audio-tours. The tickets are often weeks and months ahead sold out. Photographing is strictly prohibited.
