Tsehlanyane National Park is perhaps the most popular national park in Lesotho. The name of this 56-square-kilometer park and the river that flows through it came after the berg bamboo (Thamnocalamus tessellatus), which is an endemic species in the Maluta Mountains where the park spreads. Tsehlanyane or Ts'ehlanyane National Park is home to many species of flora and fauna, and are especially popular among visitors to bearded vultures, baboons, and caracals. The most popular activities among visitors are hiking and horseback riding, but 4x4 safaris are also available.
