Wat Phu is an ancient Khmer Hindu complex in southern Laos. The complex contains two palaces, a temple, a shrine, and a library that stretch along Phu Pasak Mountain. Here you can see authentic Khmer architecture, Buddha statues, Shiva, beautiful reliefs, and the famous Crocodile Stone, which is supposed to have been used for human sacrifices. This site represents the highlight of the tourist offer of the southern part of the country and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
