Piazza Venezia

Located near Capitoline Hill and Trajan's Forum, Piazza Venezia is an intersection of several thoroughfares. Piazza Venezia was named after the Cardinal Venezia who, in 1455, ordered the construction of his own palace. This square is the home of Altar of the Fatherland, Palazzo Venezia, Michelangelo’s house and the eternal fire and the tomb of the unknown soldier.
