Qutub Minar is a monument located in the Indian capital of Delhi. It is a UNESCO world heritage site which is composed of a tapering tower of five storeys. The construction of the monument was started by the founder of Delhi Sultanate, Qutab-ub-Din-Aibak, along with his successors who took over the rest of the construction after his death. There is a mosque at the foot of the tower which is considered to be the first mosque in India.
