About 15 kilometers north of Budapest, not far from the old course of the Danube, lies the small village of Szentendre. Fantastic narrow streets like the Mediterranean and the authentic architecture of the small Hungarian village inspired the Ethnographic Museum to establish the Szentendre Skanzen Village Museum in the open air here. Today, this is a favorite place where everything is full of tourists, souvenir shops, and various examples of Hungarian, but also Serbian culture, because Serbs also immigrated to this place running from prosecution of Ottomans.
