House of Terror
The House of Terror is a museum of the dark era of Hungarian history during the 20th century when Hungary was ruled by fascists and later by communists. The museum is located in a building that was used by the fascist Arrow Cross Party and after WWII, the communist ÁVH. In 2000, the reconstruction and adaptation of the building for the needs of the museum began. Work was completed at the beginning of 2002 when the museum started working. In the museum, you can get acquainted with the historical facts about the fascist and communist regime and their crimes. Pictures of some of the victims of terror are placed on the facade of the building.
