Brandenburg Gate

The only surviving city gate of Berlin, Brandenburg Gate played different political roles in German history. When the Revolutions of 1989 occurred and the wall was demolished, the gate symbolized freedom and the desire to unify the city of Berlin and became the main venue of "Festival of Freedom".
