Moremi Game reserve is the oldest protected segment and a safari paradise attractive to visitors wishing to see true Africa at its best. The name of the reserve comes from Moremi III, chief of the BaTawana people. Former royal hunting ground nowadays is best known for shooting pictures of rare wild animals that can be seen only in this part of the world. In this reserve, there is a significant range of natural habitats, from acacia forests to green plains and lagoons which attracted over 500 species of birds, reptiles, and mammals, many of which are protected species due to poaching.
