Royal Palaces of Abomey

Royal Palaces of Abomey are situated in the Abomey town, once the capital of the Kingdom of Dahomey, once a powerful military and commercial empire. These 12 palaces have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1985, together with the Abomey Historical Museum, today housed within palaces.
