Porte Du Non Retour

Porte Du Non Retour is a memorial concrete and bronze arch symbolizing the point where slaves were taken off the shores of Africa to the Americas. The Beninese government with the help of UNESCO started this project in the early 1990s, dedicating it to victims of the Atlantic slave trade.
