The Great Smoky Mountains are a part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which are a division of the larger and famous Appalachian Mountain chain. The mountain range is rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. The title of UNESCO World Heritage Site is given to it for a good reason since it is an ideal getaway. It is renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life in addition to the beauty of the ancient mountains. The famous Appalachian Trail takes the hikers’ breath away with astonishing views. Its many waterfalls show the visitors the true beauty of nature in its purest form. For the wildlife viewing, there is Cades Cove. It is a broad, verdant valley surrounded by mountains and is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smokies since it offers some of the best opportunities for seeing white-tailed deer, black bear, coyote, ground hog, turkey, raccoon, skunk, and other animals. Besides wildlife viewing, hiking through the lush forests, and enjoying the serenity which tucked away waterfalls offer, there are many bubbling brooks and creeks adding to this picturesque site.
