Askania-Nova

Askania-Nova is a biosphere reserve which consists of a zoo, a botanical garden, and virgin steppe sanctuary. The reserve is under the protection of UNESCO. The biodiversity is just stunning - besides the local species, this reserve is home to wild horses, llamas, antelopes, many bird species... In 2008, Askania was named one of Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine.
