Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Nemrut is placed in southeastern Turkey, featuring numerous statues of gods, with a name of each god inscribed on them. It is assumed that the site was used from 1st century BC as a royal tomb. All statues have been beheaded and not restored to their original condition. You can easily access the site from the town of Adıyaman located nearby, where numerous tours are organized for sightseeing, including overnight tours as well.
