Free Church of Tonga
The Free Church of Tonga is located in the capital of the country, Nuku'alofa. This beautiful building is reminiscent of great European Christian places of worship, only on the other side of the world! Unfortunately, Cyclone Gita severely damaged this beautiful building in early 2018, so it is not possible to enter the Centennial Church of the Free Church of Tonga. In that cyclone, the parliament building and many private facilities and infrastructure were destroyed, so the church building was not high on the list of priorities to get reconstructed. Across from this church are the Royal Tombs so they can be visited on the same walk.
