Ocean Cay

Ocean Cay is a privately owned island and is mostly used as a resort and as one of the most popular stops in the Bahamas for luxury cruisers. Interestingly, this cay was artificially made during the 1960s, when sand was extracted at this place for industrial needs. After the extraction of sand stopped, the Ocean Cay remained in private ownership and was adapted to attend visitors, mostly from cruise ships. Besides restaurants, various kinds of shops, spas, there are beaches for children, with many programs adapted to that age, beaches for rest, sunbathing and peace, beaches where it is possible to practice sports on the sand and in the water, so something for everyone.
