Ruaha National Park

Other than it's the largest, Ruaha National Park is the least accessible park in Tanzania, giving visitors an insight into the real and amazing wilderness. Ruaha River is the main point of the national park, gathering on its banks some magnificent wildlife. Several hundred bird species, the largest concentration of elephants and Baobab forests makes Ruaha place worth visiting. It was founded in 1964 and since 2005, the protected area is considered a Lion Conservation Unit.
