The Icehotel is located in the village of Jukkasjärvi, about 17 kilometers east of the city of Kiruna, in Lapland province. The Icehotel has been built every winter since 1990, which makes it the oldest ice hotel in the world. The ice blocks used for construction are taken from the Torne River. Every year, artists from all over the world are invited to decorate the hotel with their sculptures made of ice. There is also an Ice Bar, where even glasses are made of ice. The real magic of this beautiful hotel is that every year is slightly different than last year, and that is a trump card that attracts visitors to return to it from year to year.
