Seoraksan National Park is the oldest and the most popular national park in South Korea. Located in the northeast of the country, this national park offers its visitors over 1000 species of plants and over 1500 species of animals. Besides that, in Seoraksan (Snowy Peaks Mountain,) there are countless hiking trails, which lead to incredible landscapes that captivate with their beauty of unspoiled nature. The area was declared a national park in 1965, and UNESCO included it in the biosphere reserve in 1982.
