Bonegi beach is located about 12 kilometers northwest of Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands. Two Japanese battleships were sunk at this place in 1942, which makes this beach especially attractive for divers and snorkelers. During breaks between dives, sunbathing, and swimming on the sandy beach is a must. Visitors should bear in mind that there are no shops, bars, or even toilets on the beach, so bring with you everything you'll need for an excursion like this.
