Dominating the panorama of Bratislava, the white castle with four towers on each corner, Bratislava Castle is definitely a no.1 landmark of this city! Bratislava is located on site inhabited from late stone age to the present day by Boleráz culture people, Kalenderberg Culture people, Celts, Romans, Slavs, Hungarians, Germans, etc. Castle itself has a very rich history. Rebuilt by every inhabitant, by every ruler castle. Started as a wooden fortification, improved to stone construction after a while was built in Gothic style, Renaissance style, and later in Baroque style. Since the independence of Slovakia, the castle is the home of collections of the Slovak National Museum and serves as Slovak Parliament representative venue.
