Constructed in 1864, this square is one of the most popular and best known in Russia. Previously known and named as Freedom Square, then in 1950 named to Stalin Square and then in 1957 renamed to Lenin Square. A wonderful place that turns into a square full of children feeding pigeons in summer days and into a square full of ice sculptures in winter. If you're visiting Moscow, then you should not miss this place! Lenin himself sat on the very edge of the same square!
