Wawel Royal Castle is one of the most historically significant locations in the city of Krakow, which was the capital during the time of the Polish kings. Remains of stone buildings dating back to 970 AD can be found in this complex, which dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. There are also Wawel Cathedral, Representative Royal Chambers, Wawel Danish Tower, Senator Tower, John Paul II Cathedral Museum, Wawel Thief Tower, Baszta Sandomierska, Wawel Royal Castle, and many more monuments and other buildings. Despite numerous destructions and alterations throughout its history, diligent work has led to an enviable level of reconstruction of the Renaissance or Baroque appearance.
