Rynek

Rynek is the central town square, one of the main landmarks in the city of Wroclaw, the fourth largest city in Poland. Wroclaw lies on both banks of the Odra River, and before the Second World War, it had 303 bridges, while now it has 220. The city is a major cultural, educational and industrial center of the southwestern part of the country. The square was opened in 1214, and it houses the Gothic Old Town Hall which nowadays serves as an art museum, the New Town Hall, many houses that were owned by the Wroclaw aristocracy, but now house various institutions and companies.
