San Felipe or Casco Viejo, which in Spanish means "Old quarter" is the historic core of Panama City and is also the smallest part of the city. Although the smallest, most of the photos of the city come from this neighborhood. San Felipe is dominated by buildings in the Baroque style, with facades in pastel colors, immaculately clean streets, romantic restaurants. San Felipe is a peninsula in the southwestern part of the city, and according to many visitors, this is the most beautiful part of it due to the many cathedrals, museums, national theater, and squares.
