Hithadhoo
Placed almost on the equator, this is a large island for the Maldivian standards. Various urban features, shops, bakeries, cafes on Hithadhoo meets rich nature and biodiversity, with Queens Pond dominating the area. If you're lucky, you will be able to see another phenomenon - a bioluminescent ocean! This rare and almost extinct phenomenon is occurring due to the glowing phytoplanktons that the waves keep tossing over the sands at night.
