Melaka Straits Mosque is as much the pride of believers as it is the pride of builders. This mosque stands on a man-made island, right next to the city of Malacca. When the tide is high, the building looks like it is floating, and its 30-meter high minaret is also a lighthouse. The mosque is entered via two arched bridges. At night, the mosque is lit in green tones, associating the sacred color of Islam. Since its opening in 2006, Melaka Straits Mosque has been an attraction for believers but also for non-Muslim visitors because of its luxury.
