Dečan monastery

The Dečan monastery is located at the base of Prokletije mountain range, near the town of Dečan by the Dečanska Bistrica river. The monastery was founded in the first half of the 14th century by Stefan Dečanski. It is listed on UNESCO heritage in danger list and is one of the many orthodox medieval monasteries located in Kosovo.
