Colosseum
A prominent member of new seven wonders of the modern world list, this iconic landmark is an oval amphitheater in the center of the city of Rome, largest ever built. In ancient times Colosseum was used as a place where gladiator fights, executions, and exhibitions of exotic animals took place. It was partially ruined by an earthquake and looting. But the place is still being visited by over 6 million visitors annually.
