Castel Sant'Angelo

Also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian and his family, the Castel Sant'Angelo is a fortress located on the right bank of the river Tiber. Construction started in year 134 and the fortress changed its purpose during the time - it served as a military fortress, Papal fortress and nowadays Castel Sant'Angelo is a museum and sensational viewpoint of Rome.
