Bridge of Sighs
The most beautiful bridge in Venice according to many, Bridge of Sighs was the last opportunity for convicts to see the outside world before exported from the Doge's palace interrogation room to the city prison cells. This Bridge was a common literature motif, for Casanova as well, among others. Legend says that lovers will have an eternal love if they kiss on the gondola right under the bridge at the moment of the sunset while bells of St Mark’s Campanile can be heard.
