The Sea of Galilee is one of the four seas whose shores reach the territory of Israel, and one of the two that is not the sea at all. The Sea of Galilee is the largest freshwater lake in the country and the lowest freshwater lake in the world. Its surface is 215 meters below sea level. Tourist potentials have developed significantly in recent decades, so this lake is one of the favorite summer resorts in Israel. Religious tourism is also flourishing because most of Christ's activities took place around this lake.
