Bethlehem

In the Bible verses, Bethlehem is described as a small village not far from Jerusalem, where Mary and Joseph found refuge, and where Jesus was born. Today, this is a town of over 25 thousand inhabitants, and it is visited by 2 million visitors every year, mostly pilgrims of all Christian denominations. The church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is the second holiest place for Christians, after the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. In addition to religious content, it is popular among visitors to go to the bazaar, where you can find various souvenirs, mother-of-pearl products, and fabrics for which this city is famous.
